MiFIA’s latest push to deliver Michigan the creative economy it deserves has spent much of 2025 in pre-production. Narratives have been developed, collaborators identified and schedules outlined.

In 2026, we anticipate this background work will, when coupled with the very real momentum from previous efforts, begin to bear legislative fruit. Our concrete goal is to see multimedia incentive legislation reintroduced at the earliest practical juncture.

Our movement has bipartisan support and will make a real difference for Michiganders, energizing the economy in novel ways and bolstering the state’s image by putting its best assets on prominent display. Our all-volunteer effort will continue to advance until we have achieved our objectives.
